Company History

Formed in 1996 Mackay Fluid Power specialized in strategic underground hydraulic system maintenance and labour hire, it was during this initial period that it became apparent there was a requirement for a company dedicated to the design and pro-active maintenance of Hydraulic and Pneumatic components.

To this end Mackay Fluid Power has successfully established a strong customer base within the Underground and Open cut Mining sectors, offering personalized service with an emphasis on exceeding our customer expectations. Typical Hydraulic application have included:

1. Stacker Reclaimer Power Units
2. Ship loader Systems
3. Underground Emulsion test Rigs
4. Ventilation
5. Dust Scrubber Fans and pneumatically operated Drag line maintenance Doors to mention just a few.

Through company growth during 2003 it was necessary to form two divisons in order to maintain the benchmark service our customers have come to expect, so it was that Mackay Air and Fluid Systems was lunched to augment the fluid power diversion with a diverse range of Fluid dispensing and Pumping products including Air Compressors, Automatic Lubrication systems, Hose Reeling systems, Fuel and Oil meters, Fast Refueling and Oil service technologies.

Mackay Fluid Power and Mackay Air & Fluid Systems enjoy ongoing business with a variety of Mining companies including Rio Tinto, BHP, Thiess, Roche, Leightons, Anglo Coal and Peabody.
